La Isla Bonita

Playa Del Carmen, Quintana Roo, Mexico

I traveled with Callie and her family to Mexico for Turkeydayweek. Here are some of the highlights and pictures to prove them.

This was the view from our backyard. That's a 30-person hot-tub, folks!

CRIBS: Mexican Jeremy and Callie Edition

The beach.

Callie plays Soccer. TOUCHDOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWNNN!

The pool.

I stalk Callie.

Mayan ruins. Can you believe people lived like this?

Whoa, guy! Look out for that Mayan demon ghost behind you!

They called this stuff "Lobster," but it's really just giant crawdads.

Callie enjoys a "Lift" from this delicious apple soda.

We rode horses. That cowboy is not me. His name is "Cowboy."

This is my horse, he was aptly named "Tequila."

Ramming speed, Tequila!

A ghost peacock.

It doesn't matter if you're a leetle keed, or an old person.

And what fun would a vacation to Mexico be without a Monkey Boner?

I can has Callie?

Callie wuz delishus, nom nom nom!

Hey, Anthony Bourdain, ever been to Mexico?

"Hey let me rip you off."

Sadly, Callie would not let me buy this t-shirt. It says "I HEART TO FART"-- brilliant.

Senor Frog's! Get a drink in a glass that looks like a cock!

Thanks, barkeep!

Things gettin' crazzzayyy up in here!

Hey, Callie, who's the fella?

Water Aerobics was one of the many activities Callie enjoyed...

mine consisted mainly of walking and drinking.

Historic Playa Del Carmen.

Ronrico, my personal masseuse.

Here are some shots from my walk around town one day:

We had tequila and mezcal here.

More monkeys!

CHUPACABRA? You decide...

I wanted this to take home.

BSOD at the Cancun airport (Airport #1). Not a good omen for things to come.

Alex and April get bored.

Mexico City (Airport #2). I heard 3 gunshots that night.

Readin' in Monterrey, Mexico (Airport # 3)

Alex tries unsuccessfully to end the madness.

A sculpture in Dallas, Texas, USA. (Airport #4)

This waffle was amazing.

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania - U.S.A. - 11.8 - 11.11

Zach and I went to the Phily Improv Fest, here is a brief run down:
  • Zach doesn't like previously smoked-in hotel rooms; he does like to snore.

  • saw some shows from a lot of Philly and NY acts.

  • ate at Fogo de Chao-- if you've never been, treat yourself to endless meat sometime

  • walked around Philly quite a bit; saw some cool murals, talked to my sis, bought a new coat

  • Cajones had a killer show, we had fun and people had great things to say

  • hung out with new pal, Corey C.-- he's good people

  • went to the Mutter Museum, saw a lot of medical anomalies including:

    • dried children cadavers

    • cyclops fetus, no brain fetus, big head fetus

    • 8-foot colon, held 40+ pounds of poo upon autopsy

    • world's largest skeleton

    • a piece of John Wilkes Booth

    • huge collection of non-food things people have swallowed

    • horned woman

  • went to sushi dinner with Cathcart & Olsen-- endless bits, lots of fun

  • partied like rockstars at Charlie's bar

  • Allie is a sweet girl and a good hostess (Thanks, Allie!)

  • got a sore throat and some sort of cold--yeah, of course I did

Philly was a blast this year, lots of good friends and shows. Thanks, PHIF.

Some garden.

Some cool graffiti and a mural.

This guy was walking soooo slowly.

Zach, Jay, Melissa, and Asaf.
