I'm Published

Check me out. I'm a freaking poet.

In other news:
-I have been slack on the writing and reading, only managing about half of what I intended to do. Nonetheless, I have a great story going using the snowflake method. So we'll see how that turns out.
-The exercises have been beneficial, but I am waking up sore every day. Could be worse things.
-Mr. Diplomat is going to DCM! New York, here I come!
-Dreams will sometimes skew your sense of reality. Sometimes, to the point of emotional turmoil.

Days 7, 8 & 9

I am going to take this opportunity to use my blog to write for today rather than write an typical "entry" or do any post journaling or anything like that. For inspiration, I will be drawing from a random website using a web-tool known as Stumble Upon. Whatever random site it brings up will be my muse, here we go.

Flash Earth

The word crust, as it is known, only draws images of the scattered bones of a devoured pizza. The ends of slices tossed back into the box and left to go stale and hard overnight, each strip ridded with crescent bites gnawed to the edge. The crust is my favorite part of the pie-- a reward for finishing off all the cheese and sauce and grease. Once, I watched a curious squirrel steal an entire slice of pizza from a trashcan. It was wrapped in aluminum foil, which the squirrel quickly unravelled. He sat-resilient and focused-on the cheese and pepperoni and nibbled furiously on the crust. When someone approached, the squirrel tried to carry of the slice with him, but struggled in the process. Eventually, he managed to get the entire slice back into the tree with him. I laughed to myself and thought, "Man, I sure hope that pizza lands on someone's head." I will never know for sure.

On Earth, water is king, sought to saturate and soak to the very core. Someday, as we boil in our seas, I hope someone might wonder just how the balance was ever unimportant, how we could not see the nightfall coming from the east.

I missed my exercises yesterday so I doubled up today. Man, 60 pushups is fucking hard. Also, I owe an hours worth of both reading and writing. Where does the time go?

Day 6

Myself with Joe Stanton, the newest addition to my blog roll.

Today I went to Putt-Putt with the DSI crew. It was fun, though it should not have been for lots of reasons, including:
Broken video games.
Rain.
Burnt pizza.
Callie was stuck at home and was completely doped up because she had her wisdom teeth extracted on Friday.

I did all my stuff today. Only 628 words, and I started reading City by Brian Lennon. I read it in college, and I forgot how much I loved it.

Day 5

1 ) Transmet & TNSBL
2) 627 words. I am happy with my progress, doing some "post-journaling" exercises that are helping me remember my life from the time I was an adolescent up to the present. It's been really amazing to be able to recall all the details from age 14. What a confusing time.

3 & 4) The exercise is helping already, I feel.

Days 3 & 4

(uggg, I am rewriting this post because I accidentally closed the wrong window. )

-Read more of Transmet & TNSBL
-812 words yesterday & 669 today
-Did all the exercises, but damn, my muscles hurt, man.
